Visualizing a Greener Future on Earth Day

In honor of Earth Day 2025, High Desert natives came together to celebrate creativity, connection, and the beauty of our planet at foster care and adoption organization A Greater Hope’s special art workshop. Entitled Spring Fling Painting Things, the workshop was hosted by our inspiring Clinical Social Worker D’ellen Hutchens as part of the A Window Between Worlds initiative—using art as a healing and empowering tool for families and individuals.

Participants created pieces of art that celebrated nature and expressed their hopes for a greener future. As laughter filled the air, those in attendance shared stories and made new memories, proving once again that art has the power to unite communities—and to remind us all of the world we’re working to protect. The event didn’t just celebrate Earth Day and Climate Action Week—it gave them color, heart, and meaning.
