Healing During the Holidays

The holidays can be a traumatizing time for women who have experienced reproductive loss. This workshop, designed by our team member Roxanne Fields, took us through the acknowledgment of how we are currently feeling and where we would like our feelings to eventually land.

One participant mentioned that December was a particularly tough month for her as both of her abortions were in December; she tends to dread the holidays as a result. She saw the “Humbug” tree as an opportunity to honestly express her holiday grief in words and symbols. For her, the “Hallelujah” tree was an acknowledgment of just how much healing she has received over the years and to look back at where God has brought her.
