Allowed to Be My Full Self

This weekend, starting Friday night after our group workshop, I started making long-overdue decisions to stand up for myself and close some doors that weren’t serving me any more (ones that I was still engaging in due to insecurity).

I am awed by the transformative power of art. My Monster in Me was insecurity. The various colors and shapes represent the myriad of ways/reasons/contexts that I’m insecure.

I like the watercolor shading to represent how my insecurities have no substance. I am allowed to take up space and be my full self.
