Sonia’s Joy Journey

Hi Everyone!

I’m Sonia. I’m a high school student and I’m a summer intern at A Window Between Worlds.

This summer, I am exploring my own durational art journey as well as designing a durational art action for my high school. I have chosen to use a durational mural to anchor my joy.

On this mural, I’ve painted my hand and my sister’s hand to represent the joy I feel when I spend time with her. Each day, I write something that made me happy, even if just for a moment.

This mural helps remind me that there’s always joy to feel, even if it is small.

As you’re watching this, I invite you to think about what brings you joy.

Thank you!
