Life Trees

I did the Story Tree art workshop with youth advocates at our youth advocates task force meeting. They are just such great people who work so hard. These two trees were among many created during the workshop.

A participant in the workshop shared, “This activity made me think in a different way about what is important to me and was deeply grounding to put these big ideas into a visual. My life tree.

Another participant described her tree: “My tree has been through a storm. The leaves fell off and they lay in piles on the ground. My tree is nurtured by love, music, dirt, water, and food. It is rough now. More than it used to be. And yet, it is stronger than it has ever been in some ways. It is comforted by the seasons and how it sleeps and wakes and can be reborn.”
