Connecting Board Members with Their Impact Through Art

As a special appreciation for our Board Members and their dedication throughout fundraising season, I facilitated an A Window Between Worlds activity designed to give them a glimpse into the creative and therapeutic experiences we provide to our clients.

Board Members were invited to create their own Inspiration Rocks, using words, images, and designs that represented something meaningful or inspiring to them. They thoroughly enjoyed the opportunity to be creative, reflect, and connect with one another through the activity.

The experience also provided an opportunity to demonstrate how an activity such as this can be adapted and facilitated within a clinical setting. I shared examples of how Inspiration Rocks can be used with clients to encourage self-expression, identify strengths and sources of hope, and create meaningful opportunities for therapeutic conversation.

This experience truly created a window between worlds, connecting the individuals who generously give their time and energy to support our mission with the therapeutic work made possible through their efforts. It allowed our Board Members to not only hear about the impact of our programs, but to experience a small piece of what our clients are invited to explore in treatment.
