Art Supporting Personal and Financial Healing

It was an honor to facilitate a Financial Healing workshop that created a safe and supportive space for participants in our career development program to explore their relationship with money through a healing-centered lens.

Throughout the session, participants were deeply engaged and willing to reflect on the emotional layers of financial decision-making, including trust, accountability, and forgiveness. The workshop encouraged them to examine the different levels of financial trust, both with themselves and with others, while acknowledging how past experiences can influence present financial behaviors. Participants shared personal stories with honesty and vulnerability, offering insight into their financial journeys and the challenges they have faced. Through guided discussion and peer support, they built accountability with one another and identified practical steps toward healthier financial management.

Many participants expressed future financial goals rooted in stability, self-trust, and empowerment. The openness and mutual support within the group fostered a sense of connection and healing, reinforcing the importance of addressing finances as both a practical and emotional experience.

Overall, the workshop reflected AWBW’s mission by providing a trauma-informed space where participants could feel seen, heard, and supported as they worked toward financial healing and personal growth.
